Deity V-Mic D3 Pro Microphone
The World’s First Smart Microphone
Inside the V-Mic D3 Pro lives a microprocessor that digitally shakes hands with the audio input it’s been plugged into. The D3 Pro will work with a phone, tablet, DSLR, body pack transmitters; just about anything with a 3.5mm microphone jack. We have tested it on a dozen DSLR models, two dozen phones, a handful of Android based tablets, and the microphone inputs on laptops. When plugged into devices that have a stereo microphone input, the V-Mic D3 Pro outputs dual mono tracks.
The World’s FIRST Microphone with a Stepless Gain Knob
The V-Mic D3 Pro features a +20dB step-less analog gain adjustment dial. On each side of the dial the V-Mic D3 Pro features a bump guard that helps prevent the dial from being accidentally rotated. The +20dB of gain is added on a linear scale so you can dial in the exact amount of gain you need for the shot.
Designed to provide a noteworthy improvement in sound quality over microphones built into cameras, smartphones, and portable recorders, the Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro is a camera-mount shotgun microphone offering directional audio capture, adjustable gain and filtering, and broad device compatibility for for mobile journalists, vloggers, YouTubers, and run-and-gun videographers.
With a built-in microprocessor that automatically configures its TRRS connector to work with most 3.5mm mic input jacks, the V-Mic D3 Pro is compatible with a variety of DSLRs, camcorders, mobile devices, and portable audio recorders. Attachment to your camera, boompole, or tripod is simple and efficient using the supplied Rycote adjustable shockmount and 3.5mm TRRS coiled cable.
A stepless knob on the mic’s bottom provides up to 20 dB of gain for easy optimization of levels. Activate the onboard low-cut filter at 75 Hz or 150 Hz to reduce rumble and bass buildup. The microphone is powered primarily by the internal 51-hour rechargeable battery; plug-in power (bias voltage) from your camera or mixer is only required to turn on/off the mic. The lightweight aluminum body is finished in a low-reflection paint, ensuring that it won’t weigh down your camera or induce distracting glare.

Long Battery Life
The V-Mic D3 Pro uses a built-in 320mAh lithium battery, which powers the mic for up to 51 hours. Plug-in power is only used to wake the mic from its standby mode. The internal battery recharges via USB in approximately two hours.
Automatic power saving conserves battery life by entering standby mode when your camera or device is turned off. The power switch and power LED indicate aid in power management; the LED will be red when power is low.

Rodel Celestial –
The built of the mic is solid ( made up of metal, not plastic ). It comes with a beautiful case and from the looks itself of the presentation with its included beautiful case you can say it’s a hi-end product. Regarding the audio quality, I have not tested it yet because I am still waiting for the camera that I ordered to come but based on reviews in youtube, its on par with top-end mics like Sennheiser, Rode etc. but with a lesser price.

Best in on camera mic class. Also can be used as XLR shotgun mic.

Absolutely lives up to all the hype. For a long time rode user this is definitely a good alternative.
